Events that took place in the week of October, 4-8
1. The third webinar on autumn projects in the framework of GISU Alliance cooperation
On October 5, 2021, the third webinar on the topic Intelligent Technologies for Road Accidents Analysis was successfully held. This was one webinar from the autumn series of programs initiated by specialists of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute at the Academy of Digital Technologies and Entrepreneurship of the GISU Alliance. The webinar was prepared by Irina Gusieva, Associate Professor of Faculty of heat power engineering of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, together with foreign partners from the Tomar Polytechnic Institute, Leiria Polytechnic Institute, and company SKETCHPIXEL.
Igor Sikorsky KPI as a member of the GISU Alliance for a long time has been actively promoting cooperation between the universities of the twin cities of Guangzhou. Previously, the University specialists took part in webinars presented by partners, and this autumn they prepared their own materials for the programs of the Academy of Digital Technologies and Entrepreneurship on various topical topics.

2. International HighMatTech-2021 Conference in Laboratories of E. O. PATON Electrical Welding Institute
On October 5-7, 2021, Igor Sikorsky KPI hosted the 7th International Materials Science Conference HighMatTech-2021.
In the intervals between plenary sessions and discussions, the participants of the conference, leading materials scientists from different countries, had the opportunity to get acquainted with the modern laboratory base of the Department of High-Temperature Materials and Powder Metallurgy.

3. Round table with international participation “Protection of human rights in conditions of social transformations” at the Department of Intellectual Property and Private Law
On the occasion of the professional holiday of all ministers of the Law – Lawyers Day in Ukraine on October 8, 2021, the Department of Intellectual Property and Private Law of the Faculty of Sociology and Law of Igor Sikorsky KPI organized and held a Round Table with international participation “Protection of human rights in conditions of social transformations.” The round table was devoted to the following topics: doctrinal principles of human rights protection, human rights in the field of public-legal and private-legal relations, conceptual and normative principles of mechanisms of protection, and restriction of human rights and freedoms. According to the results, an electronic collection of materials is being prepared for publication.
4. Lecture of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Japan, Professor Sergiy Korsunsky at Igor Sikorsky KPI
An open lecture by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Japan, Ukrainian scientist and diplomat, Honored Economist of Ukraine and Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Sergiy Korsunsky on the topic “Japan, which you do not know.” Students of Igor Sikorsky KPI and everyone interested in Japan were able to attend a lecture by Mr. Korsunsky on October 4 within the course “Actual problems of Asian communities” of the Faculty of Sociology and Law of Igor Sikorsky KPI.
