Creative tourism as a part of the Smart Cities and Tourism program from Guangzhou International Sister-City Universities Alliance
Coinciding with World Creativity and Innovation Day, two sessions of the Entrepreneurship in Creative Tourism: Insights for Post-Pandemic Re-Emergence” took place on April 21, 2022.
The program included a framing presentation, 13 country-specific presentations, and opportunities for discussion. Led by Dr. Nancy Duxbury, Centre for Social Studies, University of Coimbra, other invited lecturers included faculty from the University of Quebec at Montreal, Western Sydney University, Guangzhou University, Durban University of Technology, and the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” (represented by Prof. Okhrimenko, Faculty of Management and Marketing).
The program witnessed the greatest attendance to date for the first two years of the Digital Academy and Entrepreneurship. More than a thousand participants attended the two sessions.
This Creative Tourism research track is part of the Smart Cities and Tourism program led by the University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM). It became a “springboard” for the international symposium scheduled for this fall (see photo).
