Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2022
On June 7-8, 2022, the fourth Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2022 took place online and offline in Warsaw, covering more than 10,000 participants from 50 countries. The list of countries included the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, The Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and the Republic of Armenia, Ukraine and others.
Dr. Bianca Sivinska, President of Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2022, opened the summit and warmly welcomed all participants and speakers.
The event was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Poland, the Mayor of Warsaw, the US Embassy in Poland, 50 largest technology companies (Goldman Suchs, Nike, Intel, Google, Orange, Accenture, Electrolux, Allegro, Glovo, etc.) and the best technical universities Poland and the world. Honorary guests of the opening were: Mayor of Warsaw – Rafal Tschaskowski, Deputy Ambassador of Poland to Poland – Daniel Lawton, former President of the Kyrgyz Republic – Roza Otunbayeva, Justina Orlovska – Prime Minister’s Plenipotentiary for GovTech, head of GovTech Center.
The delegation from Ukraine consisted of 200 participant. About 100 participants were from Igor Sikorsky KPI. Ukrainian students, graduate students and scientists were greeted with warm applause, support and condemnation of russia’s war against Ukraine.
It should be noted that this year there were more men and speakers in the hall at the summit than before.
The summit had many interesting discussions and topics, such as leadership in crises, growth and training of leaders in times of instability; whether leaders and managers need to acquire certain skills in order to work well in the reality we are currently facing; what is the difference between the management of organizations, technologies and people when crises arise; what is the role of the female leader in this situation, etc.
Two busy days quickly passed for the participants of the summit, where they received answers to their questions, improved their skills, had useful meetings for the future profession at seminars of leading experts in the IT industry.
