Cooperation between KPI and the University of Sheffield

The University of Sheffield became a partner of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute to support students and scientists affected by the war. 

Within the partnership, the University of Sheffield and Kyiv Polytechnic has launched 13 areas of work in the long term.

One of the projects for which Sheffield donated £20,000 is the reconstruction of KPI bomb shelters. This will create a safe environment for students and teachers to organize an uninterrupted educational process.

The scheme, developed by UK universities and Cormack Consultancy Group, aims to prevent the brain drain and help Ukrainian universities emerge from the war more powerful and experienced, and therefore play an important role in post-war reconstruction.
