Two Years of Partnership within Twinning: Igor Sikorsky KPI and University of Sheffield
Two years ago, as part of the Twinning initiative, a partnership was initiated between Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and The University of Sheffield.
Over this period, the universities have been actively collaborating on implementing a joint project aimed at promoting the post-war innovative transformation of Ukraine. British educators have been assisting in the implementation of new teaching methodologies and organization of scientific research.
Additionally, the academic community of The University of Sheffield donated £20,000 towards the restoration of a bomb shelter, ensuring that students and faculty of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute could continue their educational activities during air alerts.
Furthermore, as part of the collaboration, representatives of the Ukrainian institution gained access to a state-of-the-art online library and underwent English language courses conducted by native speakers.
The joint efforts of participants in the Ukrainian-British initiative continue with new ideas aimed at the development of higher education.
