We invite you to the following two IMPACT/ATHENA4Peace Talks related to (a) the Development of Intercultural Competence and (b) the development of peace education. More specifically:

Wednesday, 3rd of July, at 1500 CET: We welcome Dr Brian Seilstad, Director of Internationalization and Partnerships at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco.

Brian will discuss the topic of ‘Using UNESCO Story Circles to Develop Intercultural Competence’ with us.

Thursday, 4th of July, at 1500 CET: We welcome Dr. Sara Habibi, a peace education expert in the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), Peace Division, in Geneva. She will discuss ‘Teaching, Research & Innovation for Peace: What Role for the ATHENA Alliance?’.

As you can understand, the ATHENA Alliance is an example of what the universities can do to promote peace through their research implementation and educational programs.
