34th Annual Conference and Exhibition of the European Association for International Education

The 34th Annual Conference and Exhibition of the European Association for International Education (EAIE) took place in Toulouse, France, on 17-20 September 2024, bringing together more than 7,300 participants from over 110 countries. The event was aimed at developing international cooperation in higher education and supporting the integration of cultural competence and critical thinking into educational programmes.

More than 70 sessions of the Conference were devoted to key issues of internationalisation, including strategies for attracting foreign students, developing international partnerships, etc.

More than 900 organisations from all over the world presented their diverse offerings at more than 250 stands, turning the exhibition hall into a mosaic of colourful ideas and innovations.  Along with group stands from Slovakia, Slovenia, China, Japan, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Australia, Indonesia, Switzerland, Ireland and others, Ukraine presented leading Ukrainian higher education institutions at its Ukrainian Higher Education stand – Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Sumy State University, Mukachevo State University, Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Donbas State Pedagogical University, Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding, Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic, Chernihiv Polytechnic and others. In total, 18 Ukrainian universities had the opportunity to present their achievements in the field of international education.

The participation of Ukrainian higher education institutions in this event was made possible thanks to the active participation of the ERASMUS+ National Office in Ukraine, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine State Enterprise “Ukrainian State Center for International Education”, and the support of the European Association for International Education and the International Office of Leibniz University of Hannover within the framework of the project ‘Management of Internationalisation and German-Ukrainian Academic Cooperation (MoI Ukraine)’.

The Director of the Centre for International Education of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute presented the educational and scientific opportunities for studying to the participants of the exhibition, established working contacts with a number of leading universities and companies in the field of international education, and took part in a number of workshops and sessions during the conference.
