Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Expands Cooperation with Azerbaijan
On November 27, 2024, a delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Ukraine Seymur Gurban oglu Mardaliyev visited Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute to deepen existing and establish new areas of cooperation with our university.
The following topics were discussed:
– New student exchange and internship programmes;
– Joint projects in cyber security, humanitarian demining and the space programme.
“Our embassy is ready to work on expanding cooperation in the academic component and in the scientific field, because the education received at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is highly appreciated in the Republic of Azerbaijan,” said Seymur Gurban oglu Mardaliyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Ukraine.
Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Azerbaijan already have examples of effective partnership in the scientific and educational spheres, exchange of methods for training qualified specialists, as well as experience in the field of humanitarian demining.
Recently, representatives of our university participated in a major demining conference in Baku and are now applying the experience gained in the newly established Centre for Humanitarian Demining.
Seymur Gurban oglu Mardaliyev is convinced that the experience and solid material and technical base of Kyiv Polytechnic are priority areas for Azerbaijan.
Therefore, the next meeting at the university will end with the signing of a memorandum of understanding, which will give impetus to the development of a comprehensive partnership and further intensification of cooperation.
