Kyiv Polytechnic strengthens international ties, expands global partnerships
A delegation from NZIA Connect Inc., a cutting-edge South Korean startup specializing in telecommunications technologies, including advanced digital currency solutions and border security technologies, visited the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute to sign a tripartite memorandum of cooperation between Kyiv Polytechnic, NZIA, and the Sikorsky Challenge Innovation Ecosystem.
This signing marks the successful conclusion of nearly a year of negotiations between Andrii Shysholin, Vice-Rector for International Relations, and Kai Kim, CEO & Founder of NZIA Connect Inc., paving the way for groundbreaking collaboration.
During the visit, the Kyiv Polytechnic’s Faculty of Radio Engineering received specialized telecommunications equipment — an autonomous communication system that operates under limited power conditions, featuring wireless communication and TVWS (White Space) internet devices with antennas.
“We plan to secure funding from the South Korean government for our joint project, transfer our technologies to your university, and develop and manufacture this product together in Ukraine,” said Mr. Kim. “This will contribute to your country’s reconstruction and future growth.”
University’s researchers have already conducted experimental studies on the equipment and even suggested improvements to raise its competitive capacity in the global market.
“During testing, we identified ways to fine-tune this device both for our needs and for international markets,” noted Serhii Stirenko, Vice-Rector for Research. “Our experts are ready to contribute to its further development.”
NZIA Connect Inc. will also support education at Kyiv Polytechnic, establishing a corporate scholarship for university students.
This new partnership affords great opportunities to Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, strengthening its position on the global innovation stage.
