Kyiv Polytechnic delegation visits École Polytechnique
The delegation of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, led by Rector Anatolii Melnychenko, paid a visit to the École Polytechnique de Paris on 8 April 2025. During the visit, Kyiv Polytechnic representatives met with Director General Laura Chaubard, Gaëlle Le Goff, Director of International Relations, and Christine Levavasseur, Head of Europe and Mediterranean at École Polytechnique.
The purpose of the visit was to strengthen and deepen the ongoing cooperation between Kyiv Polytechnic and École Polytechnique de Paris – a prestigious French academic institution specialising in science and engineering.
In the course of the meeting, both parties agreed to advance cooperation in the area of artificial intelligence, particularly the organisation of a joint double degree programme in Machine Learning. They also outlined plans to launch a partnership in financial mathematics, cybersecurity, as well as to organise short-term research internships for students and teaching staff. Further discussions included the development of professional upskilling programmes and research internships designed for staff and students who are war veterans.
The agreements reached during the visit will lay the groundwork for a memorandum of cooperation to be signed in the near future.
It is worth noting too that a group of four Kyiv Polytechnic experts in AI will soon begin work in a dedicated research laboratory at the École Polytechnique de Paris, further strengthening the bonds of scientific exchange and innovation.
