
Kyiv Polytechnic students win MHP TECH Hackathon
A team from the Institute of Mechanical Engineering at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute has taken first place among 123 competing teams from across Ukraine in the second offline leg of the large-scale hackathon. The event, sponsored by the MHP international food and agri-tech company, took place at the company’s processing complex in the town of Ladyzhyn, Vinnytsia region.
Kyiv Polytechnic students demonstrated exceptional technical skills, creativity, and cohesive teamwork, proposing solutions to two cases in the field of mechanics.
Team lineup:
Myroslava Nitchenko (captain), Stanislav Bondar, Viacheslav Furmanskyy, Ruslan Prokhorchuk, Oleksii Aksinushkin, Leonid Dehtiariov, Artem Borysenko, Oleh Levitin, Ruslan Soroka, and Ivan Kostiuchenko (coordinator).
Their participation in the hackathon was made possible through the guidance and encouragement of Kyiv Polytechnic mentors – Prof Oleksandr Hubarev, postgraduate Ivan Kostiuchenko, and other teaching staff who contributed to the preparation of a top-tier engineering solution.
As a prize, the winning Kyiv Polytechnic team will receive a demonstration stand equipped with teaching aids to promote the development of robotics at the university.
This victory serves as clear evidence that Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute trains specialists capable of solving complex problems at the highest level under real industrial conditions.
