Kyiv Polytechnic continues to phase in space programme
Oleksandr Kornienko, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s parliament), together with Mykhailo Bezuhlyi, First Vice-Rector at Kyiv Polytechnic, and Vitalii Pasichnyk, Assistant to Kyiv Polytechnic Rector, took part in discussions on cooperation in space technologies with Andrius Kubilius, European Commissioner for Defence and Space.
The Commissioner was introduced to university’s engineering developments in the space sector, particularly the PolyITAN series of nanosatellites, designed under the Kyiv Polytechnic’s space programme based on the international CubeSat standard.
Importantly, it was Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute that initiated the Space Programme under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine with the participation of relevant higher education institutions.
