Kyiv Polytechnic ranks among 1,000 world’s most sustainable universities in QS Sustainability Rankings

The Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute has been ranked among the 1,000 most sustainable universities in the world, according to 2026 QS Sustainability Rankings. This year, the university has made significant progress and strengthened its position across all categories used to assess institutions.
Kyiv Polytechnic climbed 190 positions to take 970th place globally out of 2,001 universities, showing a definite improvement in the ranking, compared with last year’s #1141–1160.
At present, the university ranks 362nd out of 620 institutions in Europe, moving up 60 spots from previous 422nd.
The 2026 QS Sustainability Rankings feature 18 Ukrainian universities, with third-placed Kyiv Polytechnic in Ukraine, climbing four positions, and there is a significant improvement over last year’s 7th place.
This measurable progress is the result of systematic efforts at Kyiv Polytechnic in the spheres of sustainable development, environmental responsibility, ethical governance, social impact, and sustainable campus.
