From Kyiv Polytechnic’s Lyceum to Qatar campus

The administration, teaching staff and students of the Technical Lyceum, affiliated to the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, congratulate the lyceum’s 2025 graduate, Tymofii Lutsenko, on his remarkable achievement of gaining admission to the Qatar campus of the US Carnegie Mellon University (CMU-Q), where he will study Computer Science. This is one of the world’s top-ranked private universities, offering select undergraduate degree programs in the growing fields of Artificial Intelligence, Biological Sciences, Business Administration, Computer Science and Information Systems. Tymofii Lutsenko has received a grant for study from the prestigious Qatar Foundation.

As a lyceum student, Tymofii Lutsenko participated actively in various tournaments, contests, and science olympiads, winning prizes in the All-Ukrainian High-School Science Competitions. He graduated cum laude — with distinction — in 2025, receiving a certificate of complete universal secondary education. Thanks to the knowledge he gained at the Lyceum, Tymofii Lutsenko was enrolled at the Kyiv Polytechnic’s Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering whilst simultaneously taking CMU-Q matriculation examinations.

Tymofii Lutsenko’s success story is further evidence that the training and solid knowledge base acquired at the Lyceum give its graduates a competitive edge on a global scale, while their unabated perseverance and drive to excel open the door to world’s best universities. Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute takes pride in its lyceum graduates as they achieve their dreams and become esteemed members of the international academic community.
