International Week 2021, May, 17-23
During the week, the work on a number of international agreements was completed and preparations are underway for the conclusion of new agreements and memoranda of understanding and various forms of cooperation. As part of the work to facilitate the recruitment of foreign entrants to higher education institutions in Ukraine, the recruitment of foreign students from Ecuador, China, Nigeria and Sudan continues to expand.
On May 17-21, 2021, Dr. Jose Louise Pastran Brincon, a representative of the University of Malaga (the Kingdom of Spain) visited KPI to deliver a lecture for ITS students and with the aim of the development of international research project grants with the Kingdom of Spain under the Erasmus + program KA1.
On May 19, 2021, a regular ICD webinar dedicated to the Day of Science in Ukraine took place with the participation of an expert, Vice-Rector for Research of Igor Sikorsky KPI Vitaliy PASICHNYK, Moderators: Sergii SHUKAYEV, Angela PYATOVA. On May 21, 2021, Mr. Timothy Dubel, Head of the USAID Critical Security of Ukraine’s Critical Infrastructure Project, met with Igor Sikorsky KPI Rector, the first vice-rector of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv Ilchenko Volodymyr Vasyliovych and acting President of the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” Alexandra Humena. A Memorandum of Partnership between the three National Universities of Ukraine and USAID Ukraine was signed.
May 25, 2021 is the deadline for applications for participation of KPI startups in the competition of Ukrainian startups for Japanese investors, announced by the Ukrainian Startup Fund with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan. The teams selected among them will be able to get to the private event of the USF Japan Roadshow Online and present their company to Japanese investors and businesses.
On May 25 and 26, 2021, there will be an online festival for students, graduate students, young women scientists “Women in Tech Days 2021” (https://womenintechday.pl/). The focus of the festival is on the practical development of a career in technology, which is complicated during COVID-19, and has a gender focus. Within the event, a “Job Fair” of large high-tech companies, specialized workshops, the main stage with a number of technical meetings and meetings with TECH & IT representatives, career mentoring 1: 1 with employees of technology companies are offered.
On May 26, 2021, the next webinar on the NATO SPS Project Horizons KPI Project, organized by the International International Projects Office, will take place. June 21, 2021 is the application submitting deadline. The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak Research and Development Agency announce a competition for joint Ukrainian-Slovak research projects for 2022-2023. Project proposals are accepted from all areas of research and development with the obligatory indication of the priority direction in the application form.
