As part of the award, the organizers also offer 4-month research internships at two Polish universities for PhDs and Doctors from the following fields: social studies, exact sciences, economic studies, technical studies, agricultural studies, and library science.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The program is jointly funded by 20 Polish universities and research units.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Applications, containing the description of contributions and achievements of the candidate, are submitted by HEIs, institutes, organizations, establishments, societies, or individuals. Candidates can also apply for the award themselves (if supported by HEIs, institutes, organizations, or public persons).\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Candidates should send applications to the email address of the Centre for Eastern European Studies by 15 February 2024:\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"mailto:stypendia.studium@uw.edu.pl\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">stypendia.studium@uw.edu.pl<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The educational institution hosting the scholarship holder or trainee is obliged to<\/span><\/p><ol><li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">pay a scholarship for 3500 PLN per month (if the Laureate or Fellow has the academic title of Doctor of Science or Professor) or 2500 PLN per month (if the Laureate or Fellow has the academic title of MSc or PhD)<\/span><\/li><li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">provide very good living conditions throughout the stay at the given university;<\/span><\/li><li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">appoint a scientific supervisor\/assistance by a tutor from the field of the Laureate at each university;<\/span><\/li><li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">provide books from the press of the hosting universities, in the field of the Laureate;<\/span><\/li><li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">organize Polish course, If necessary.<\/span><\/li><\/ol><p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The scholarship holder or trainee is obliged to<\/span><\/p><ol style=\"text-align: justify\"><li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">2 months of stay at each university, <\/span><\/li><li>delivery of one public lectures and, optionally, six course lectures in the institute of affiliation (as decided by the university),<\/li><li>report on the stay,<\/li><li>if the stay of the Fellow results in any publications \u2013 the Laureate\/Fellow will be obliged to place information about the Award in them.<\/li><\/ol><p style=\"text-align: justify\">IWAN WYHOWSKI AWARD aims to honour the contributions of Ukrainian citizens in developing science, culture and public life, in shaping and developing civic society in Ukraine and in building democratic Ukraine \u2013 turned towards Europe, minding the best traditions of the former Commonwealth and the past, present and future relations of Ukraine with Poland and Europe.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">The Award was established in 2014 by: Centre for East European Studies \u2013 University of Warsaw (initiator), by the most important Polish universities: University of Warsaw, Jagiellonian University, Adam Mickiewicz University in Pozna\u0144, University of Wroc\u0142aw and four universities located along the Polish eastern Polish border: University of Bialystok, Maria CurieSklodowska University in Lublin, Catholic University of Lublin and University of Rzesz\u00f3w, as well as the College of Eastern Europe in Wroc\u0142aw and the Ossoli\u0144ski National Institute in Wroc\u0142aw.
