Carlo Colonnella<\/strong>, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute of Kyiv at the Embassy of Italy in Ukraine, along with designer and architect Paolo Coia<\/strong>, the organizer of the Italian Design Day, recently visited the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute to outline plans for staging this event at the university.<\/p>

This year’s event is outstanding as it is specially devoted to the theme \u201cDesign for Reconstruction: Inclusiveness and Innovation.<\/em>\u201d This theme is also relevant for the university\u2019s vision of creating a space where everyone feels comfortable.<\/p>

\u201cWe chose Kyiv Polytechnic for such a significant event because your university is highly prestigious and breathtakingly beautiful \u2013 it feels like entering an ancient castle,\u201d marveled Carlo Colonnella. \u201cFurthermore, our traditional Italian Design Day is not only dedicated to design and architecture, but also to engineering and everything that can be created to rebuild Ukraine after its victory. The event will be very useful for your specialists.\u201d<\/p>

This large-scale event assumes great importance in expanding cultural cooperation between Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Italy. Incidentally, a sculpture called \u201cLa molecula primordiale del DNA creativo<\/em>\u201d (Primordial Molecule of Creative DNA) was erected from the design by Paolo Coia on the university\u2019s Knowledge Square in 2022.<\/p>
