The facility houses laboratories equipped for 3D printing, scanning and modelling.<\/p><p>More importantly, it also serves as a centre of education and reintegration for war veterans. In particular, the Kolo charitable foundation, Kyiv Polytechnic, and the Appflame IT product company will soon introduce a free training course in 3D modelling and printing focused on engineering and biomedicine.<\/p><p>At the Innovation Complex, veterans and injured soldiers, together with a team of Kyiv Polytechnic expert engineers and scientists, will be able to:<\/p><ul><li>Conduct research and design in biomechanics, 3D scanning and modelling, prototyping, and manufacturing;<\/li><li>Master engineering skills and create new technologies.<\/li><\/ul><p>The founders of this unique space are:<\/p><ul><li>Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute<\/li><li>Sikorsky Challenge Ukraine Innovation Ecosystem<\/li><li>Kolo charitable foundation<\/li><li>Genesis Engineering Ukraine LLC.<\/li><\/ul><p>This project is supported by partners and sponsors, including:<\/p><ul><li>EPAM Ukraine<\/li><li>Appflame<\/li><li>OBRIO IT company;<\/li><li><em>Genesis for Ukraine<\/em> charitable foundation<\/li><\/ul><p>Their contributions comprise infrastructural development, the procurement of research and teaching equipment, and the creation of conditions for dual education and veteran programmes.<\/p><p>Also, thanks are due to the government officials who supported the initiative and participated in the opening, particularly <strong>Denys Kurbatov<\/strong>, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine.<\/p><p>An important role in the development of additive technologies is played by the Kyiv Polytechnic\u2019s Addex team \u2013 a group of lyceum and university
