{"id":25713,"date":"2025-08-21T12:36:49","date_gmt":"2025-08-21T09:36:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/icd.kpi.ua\/?p=25713"},"modified":"2025-08-21T12:54:35","modified_gmt":"2025-08-21T09:54:35","slug":"autumn-2025-online-intensive-modules-in-european-studies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/icd.kpi.ua\/?p=25713","title":{"rendered":"Autumn 2025 online intensive modules in European Studies"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"25713\" class=\"elementor elementor-25713\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c3ceb07 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"c3ceb07\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-59b343e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"59b343e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences <\/strong><strong>at<\/strong><strong> the University of Latvia <\/strong>offers intensive <strong>online modules in European Studies<\/strong> conducted in <strong>English<\/strong> during the <strong>autumn semester of 2025<\/strong>.<\/p><p>These modules are specially designed for participants from <strong>Ukraine<\/strong> and <strong>Moldova<\/strong>, including both <strong>students and civil servants<\/strong>, with the aim of equipping them with relevant skills and knowledge in the context of <strong>Ukraine&#8217;s and Moldova&#8217;s closer integration with the European Union<\/strong> and their <strong>potential EU membership<\/strong>.<\/p><p>We will offer the following <strong>modules<\/strong>:<\/p><ul><li><strong>European studies \u2013 Domestic Affairs (12 ECTS)<\/strong> will cover following topics: policy analysis, policy making, good governance, Latvian experience being an EU country, change management, public diplomacy and strategic communication. The module will take place between September 8 and October 3, 2025.<\/li><li><strong>European studies \u2013 Foreign Affairs (12 ECTS)<\/strong> will cover topics like foundation of EU, institutions of EU, history of EU enlargement, EU integration theories, europeanization process, economic europeanization, political europeanization, regionalisation, europeanization and national identity. The module will take place online between October 6 and October 31, 2025.<\/li><li><strong>European studies \u2013 Domestic Affairs\/ Accession issues for public servants, employees of local governments and teachers of universities (6 ECTS)<\/strong> with topics: good governance, evidence-based policy making, accession negotiations process and tactics, policy analysis, management of reforms, policy coordination, strategic communication, internal coordination of accession process, membership obligations, EU project management. The module will take place between November 3 and November 28, 2025.<\/li><\/ul><p>All modules will be online (via Zoom) during evening sessions (18.00-21.00 CET). The participants are free to decide on the total number of modules they would like to attend.<\/p><p><strong>The participants will receive credit points (ECTS) which will be supported by special certificates based on the attendance records.
