The purpose of the visit was to explore European approaches to teaching mathematical disciplines, exchange pedagogical practices, develop international cooperation between institutions, and establish contacts to carry out future projects under the Erasmus+ KA171 ICM Staff Mobility Programme.<\/p><p>Swedish colleagues annually host <em>\ud835\udc08\ud835\udc02\ud835\udc0c<\/em> <em>\ud835\udc08\ud835\udc27\ud835\udc2d\ud835\udc1e\ud835\udc2b\ud835\udc27\ud835\udc1a\ud835\udc2d\ud835\udc22\ud835\udc28\ud835\udc27\ud835\udc1a\ud835\udc25<\/em> <em>\ud835\udc12\ud835\udc2d\ud835\udc1a\ud835\udc1f\ud835\udc1f<\/em> <em>\ud835\udc16\ud835\udc1e\ud835\udc1e\ud835\udc24<\/em> in June<em>,<\/em> during which meetings with the administration, heads of educational programmes, leading mathematicians, staff and students of M\u00e4lardalen University take place. This year, a total of 46 participants from 10 partner countries attended this event.<\/p><p>During the visit, Kyiv Polytechnic mathematicians attended the defence of bachelor&#8217;s and master&#8217;s theses in mathematics. A special feature of this procedure is the participation of one student in the commission as an opponent. This is seen as a useful way to engage students in academic activities and is taken into account in the final assessment at the defence of a thesis.<\/p><p>In addition, the Kyiv Polytechnic delegation joined individual lectures, round tables on topics of common scientific interest, and workshops on the exchange of teaching experience. Swedish colleagues took an interest in the presentations of the Ukrainian scientists on stochastic analysis, probabilistic foundations for insurance, and recovery theory. The visit resulted in agreements on further academic exchanges for students and teachers, as well as widened the circle of DMAPT\u2019s international partners. Special participants\u2019 attention was paid to the presentation of Kyiv Polytechnic, particularly the innovative ways of attracting young people to education within the framework of <em>Mathematics Day<\/em> at Kyiv Polytechnic in March 2025.<\/p><p>Among other highlights, there was a very interesting presentation of a laboratory dedicated to the creation of an environmentally friendly solar-powered car. Swedish colleagues also drew attention to the innovative design of one of university&#8217;s educational buildings, which provides many open spaces for lectures, practicals, meetings, conferences, and recreation between classes, but no permanent offices for faculty.<\/p><p>Participants pointed out the high level of organisation of the event, the hospitality of colleagues from M\u00e4lardalen University, and the inspiring atmosphere of cooperation. The visit exemplified how Erasmus+ mobility promotes personal and professional development, while creating conditions for the closer involvement of Ukrainian science in the European Higher Education Area.<\/p><p>For the Kyiv Polytechnic mathematicians, the <em>ICM International Staff Week 2025<\/em> was more than an exchange of experience: it was a real professional breakthrough that inspires them to move forward at this challenging time in Ukraine, opening up new professional horizons. Communication with European colleagues motivates further development of academic mobility and improvement of teaching practices.
