The Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute hosted a demonstration of the latest systems of remote control developed by the Japanese companies Soliton Systems and KOBELCO. These cutting-edge technologies enable remote teleoperation of construction machinery from home, an office, or virtually any location in the world.<\/p>

Such technologies will play a vital role in the restoration of Ukrainian infrastructure. They ensure safe and secure working in hazardous sites without risk to operators, while engaging new human resources in the reconstruction of this country \u2013 women on maternity leave, war veterans, and disabled people \u2013 thereby promoting their social inclusion.<\/p>

Kyiv Polytechnic has already carried out several projects with Japanese partners under the UNIDO programme. And this event opens up new opportunities for a fresh format of scientific and educational cooperation in the application of advanced technologies in engineering (particularly geoengineering) and IT degrees.<\/p>

This demonstration was organised within the framework of the Japan-Ukraine Platform on the Infrastructure Technology for Recovery and Reconstruction (JUPITeR), established by the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine in partnership with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan.<\/p>
