From 12 to 16 January 2026, Associate Professor Oleksandr Bondarenko<\/strong> of the Department of Electronic Devices and Systems at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute visited Latvia\u2019s Riga Technical University (R\u012bgas Tehnisk\u0101 universit\u0101te, RTU) under the Erasmus+ programme. His visit was hosted by the Faculty of Computer Science, Information Technology and Energy affiliated to the RTU Institute of Industrial Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Energy.<\/p>

During his stay, Oleksandr Bondarenko held productive meetings with leading RTU researchers, including J\u0101nis Za\u0137is<\/strong>, Nadezhda Kunicina<\/strong>, Oskars Krievs<\/strong>, and Ir\u012bna Boiko<\/strong>, Head of the Advanced Material Tribology and Surface Characterization Professor Group.<\/p>

Discussions laser focused on deepening existing cooperation while exploring new horizons in collaborative research.<\/p>

As a result of the meetings, the researchers identified potential areas of interest for joint research activities. In addition, they made and submitted an application for a joint research project under the NATO Science for Peace and Security (SPS) Programme.<\/p>

Such cooperation offers new opportunities for the promotion of international research projects and academic mobility.<\/p>
