  1. Meeting with representatives of Kobe

Recently has been conducted a meeting between Igor Sikorsky KPI, Ukraine-Japan Center, and representatives of Kobe (Japan). The purpose was to discuss aspects of cooperation. Mr. Deguchi – Director of International Department, Ms. Morimoto – International Department Officer, and Levko Luchuk – International Department Officer were among the participants of the meeting. They introduced prospects of further cooperation.

Kobe Universities can become excellent partners for Igor Sikorsky KPI, as they cover opportunities for the implementation of the following plans: cooperation and invitation of students and researchers, joint research and startups inventions, internships of Ukrainian students at enterprises, and companies of Kobe.

  1. Students of Igor Sikorsky KPI participated in Autumn Digital EU4Energy Week

For several days from October 25 to October 29, 2021, students of Igor Sikorsky KPI, namely Faculty of heat power engineering, Faculty of Electric Power Engineering and Automatics and Faculty of Electronics took part in Autumn Digital EU4Energy Week, organized for students of Eastern Partnership universities. The event was held as part of the Promotion of the Clean Energy Transition project – Empowering Consumers through Better Regulation, which was jointly launched by the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER), the International Energy Agency (IEA) and Energy Community Securities

Participants – students from Eastern Partnership universities, future energy experts and energy experts from EU member states had the opportunity to discuss various aspects of the EU energy market and its regulation principles, as well as the peculiarities of the current project and the prospects for its development.

  1. On Inclusive Education with the First Secretary of the Embassy of Israel in Ukraine

First Secretary of the Embassy of Israel in Ukraine visited Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of cooperation in social projects. The main topic of the conversation was the provision of quality conditions in the field of inclusive education. The parties discussed the possibilities of implementing joint projects aimed at the formation of an inclusive educational environment, which also concerned the medical sphere – the development of medical equipment.

  1. Meeting with the Ambassador Ordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Ukraine

Representatives of the Igor Sikorsky KPI took part in the celebration of the 98th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Turkey, where they had the conversation with the Ambassador Ordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Ukraine Mr. Jagmur Hülder.

Key aspects of future cooperation were discussed: work on the development of Baykar UAVs, recruitment of Ankara University undergraduate students to study at Igor Sikorsky KPI under the Master’s Educational Program in Nuclear Power Plants. In addition, it is planned to create Ukraine-Turkey Center and a number of other projects on the basis of Igor Sikorsky KPI.

  1. Online meeting with Shibaura Institute of Technology

Ukraine-Japane Centre of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute together with Shibaura Institute of Technology – partner university and with the support of JST (Japanese Agency for Science and Technology) held an online meeting with Shibaura Institute of Technology on October 23, 2021.

The presentations of Shibaura Institute of Technology, which concerned student exchange programs, open lectures of teachers, and other study opportunities in Japan, aroused interest from our university.

  1. Cooperation with UNESCO

On October 28-29, representatives of the Igor Sikorsky KPI took part in the fifth session of the UNESCO heads of the departments in Ukraine and in the Round Table “Synergy of Educational, Scientific, Management and Industrial Components for Climate Management and Climate Change Prevention” (CLIMAN) – challenges and tools for effective implementation. “

The event was organized by the Secretariat of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO Affairs.
