These events are part of the UNESCO-UNITRAIN Youth Competence Development (YCD) project.

The purpose of the event: The contest aims to engage talented young people from around the world in creating innovative and sustainable solutions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. • Transforming national innovation systems to support scientific and societal needs.

Terms of participation: The contest is open to young people aged 16 to 35, including schoolchildren and students, scientists and engineers at the beginning of their careers. Teams must consist of six members, and teams with more than two members must have at least one girl.

The winners will receive a joint certificate from UNESCO and the International Design Award. The results will be published on the official UNESCO website, and their projects will be key promotional materials at IDSSD events.
