New Western University’s Additional Full Scholarships for Online MBA Program

New Western University (NWU), based in Covina, California, USA, is offering 20 full scholarships to Ukrainian students affected by the war to study at the NWU MBA program in 2025.

This program is designed for students who demonstrate exceptional potential and ambition. It recognizes those who aspire to become leaders in their field and innovate.

Special attention is paid to people whose aspirations have been shaped by difficult life circumstances, opening the way to opportunities for students from regions affected by war.

In light of the artificial intelligence-driven future, NWU is committed to equipping students with the skills they need to successfully adapt and lead in this transformative period.

Academic Calendar

4 quarters during the year: Winter (Jan-March), Spring (April-June), Summer (July-Sep), and Fall (Oct-Dec)

Each quarter is 11 weeks long: 10 weeks of class attendance, final exams in the last 11th week

Students are required to take 2 courses (8 credits) per quarter

Classes are scheduled twice a week

Most of the classes are scheduled during weekday 6-10pm Kyiv time

Up to $26,400 (48 units x $550 per unit)

Additional Costs

The scholarship does not cover the application fee ($240)* or the quarterly registration fee ($20).

(Optional) Degree evaluation fee – $100 (if the student requests NWU to assist in sending documents to the evaluation agency). 

Note: The application fee will not be charged upfront. It is only required if you are selected for the scholarship award.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree diploma and transcript (or equivalent): scan copy and official English translation
  2. Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s Licence, Photo ID, or Passport)
  3. Official English proficiency test results: TOEFL iBT: 71, IELTS: 6.5, Duolingo: 100, iTEP: 3.7, Cambridge English: B2 First (FCE) 160 – 179
  1.   2. A current resume outlining your academic background, work experience, and notable achievements
  3. Two letters of recommendation from professional or academic references who can attest to your qualifications and potential
  4. A scholarship application essay: Explain your academic and professional goals, share how your personal experiences have shaped your aspirations, and discuss how this MBA program aligns with your plans for the future.

*Note: No prerequisites specific knowledge is required. Anyone of any age with a full bachelor’s degree is eligible to attend this program.

CONTINUING ELIGIBILITY:

To retain the scholarship each quarter, recipients must:

  • Maintain a minimum 3.2 GPA (US GPA system)
  • Uphold NWU’s values, including academic integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to community service
  • Maintain 90% Attendance Rate
  • Guarantee of hard and diligent study and complete all courses of the quarter
  • The scholarship is disbursed on a quarterly basis, contingent upon the recipient’s compliance with the Scholarship Maintenance Requirements as outlined in the program’s terms. Continuation of funding for subsequent quarters is subject to a review of the recipient’s performance at the conclusion of each quarter. Failure to satisfy the stated requirements will result in the termination of scholarship eligibility, and the student will be responsible for all tuition and associated costs for the subsequent quarter.
