Progress, excellence, impact: Kyiv Polytechnic improves its positions in global university rankings
The recently released QS World University Rankings 2026 and Times Higher Education Impact Rankings bring good news for the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
QS World University Rankings 2026 is the largest ever, featuring more than 1,500 universities across 106 countries. Kyiv Polytechnic ranked in the 801–850 band. It retains its position among the Top 3 universities in Ukraine for the third consecutive year.
There has been extraordinary progress in key areas reflecting labour market engagement:
- Kyiv Polytechnic climbs an impressive 184 positions to place 355th in the Employment Outcomes indicator.
- The university achieves outstanding results in the Employer Reputation indicator where it improves by 36 spots and now ranks 261st.
A record 2,318 universities from 130 countries were assessed in the seventh edition of THE Impact Rankings, showcasing how institutions are working towards addressing the 17 United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
Kyiv Polytechnic climbs to the 1001–1500 band from the 1500+ band in the overall rank. It performs particularly strongly for SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), standing within the 301–400 range globally. Skyrocketing to the 401–600 range from the 1001–1500 range for SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), the university makes the most amazing progress in the ranking. It features in the 401–600 band for SDGs 6, 14, 15, and 17.
This positive dynamic is not accidental – it reflects the systematic and strategic implementation of Kyiv Polytechnic’s development strategy.
