The University of Maribor celebrated its 50th anniversary with a truly European spirit!
From 18–19 September, ATHENA Plus partners gathered in Maribor for a Working Group Meeting and the International Conference on European Universities.
A highlight was the presentation by Professor Peter Harrig Bolivar on ATHENA’s “Clusters & Sandboxes” model, showing how our Alliance contributes to the priorities of the ERA as well as the Draghi and Letta reports.
We are also proud to announce the new governance of ATHENA Plus: the presidency has now transferred to the University of Orléans, with Professor Eric Blond as President and Professor Ioan Todinca as General Secretary. We warmly wish them every success in leading ATHENA’s ambitious agenda for the next year.
