Silver Honour presented to Kyiv Polytechnic postgraduate
Redrikh Putiatin, a postgraduate student at the Automation Hardware and Software Department of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, displayed remarkable abilities at The International Physics Competition (IPhyC), receiving a Silver Honour on 20 April 2026.
According to the IPhyC results, Redrikh Putiatin scored 31 points, placing him among the top 5% of all 900 participants; within the top 30% of international top performers in the Final Round 2025; and among top three participants from Ukraine, where he ranked second.
Not only is this a personal achievement, but Putiatin’s excellent performance produces clear evidence of the high standard of education provided by the university. The strong foundations of engineering, physics and mathematics empower budding specialists to compete successfully on the international stage. In fact, Kyiv Polytechnic clearly demonstrates that it continues to go from strength to strength in key subject areas.

IPhyC is the global annual competition, bringing together participants from dozens of countries, who solve the same problems in three rounds. Through experimental problem formats and real-world research topics including astrophysics and condensed matter physics, the competition introduces students to thought-provoking challenges that extend beyond standard school curricula.
