Kyiv Polytechnic to cooperate in Ukraine’s eco-transformation with PAEW
The Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute will take joint steps towards Ukraine’s eco-transformation in partnership with the Professional Association of Environmentalists of the World (PAEW), a non-profit organisation uniting more than 7,000 top environmental professionals, researchers, and practitioners – engineers, lawyers, and business leaders – who work to implement effective environmental reforms.
The cooperation between Kyiv Polytechnic and the PAEW will unfold through the following joint initiatives:
- Organisation of new dual education programmes and training of environmental professionals (engineers, lawyers and sustainability managers);
- Training of promising specialists in environmental law and military ecology;
- Upskilling of educators up to ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) standards;
- Research projects on post-war green reconstruction of the country and the prevention of environmental disasters;
- Launch of regional target programmes to train professional environmentalists at the community level.
Specifically, the cooperation will begin with the Department of Ecology and Plant Polymers Technology at the Kyiv Polytechnic’s Faculty of Chemical Engineering.
One of the first joint initiatives will be the inaugural ESG Reboot event, scheduled to take place at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute on 29 April 2025.
