Founded in 1998, the program is an effective opportunity to support and encourage Ukrainian women scientists, as well as to promote their research internationally. In addition, the results of previous participation of Ukrainian researchers in the program contribute to strengthening the image of Ukraine as a country with great scientific potential. In February 2022, as part of the Science is It project, the PPU at UNESCO organized an exhibition of portraits of Ukrainian women researchers at UNESCO headquarters, the main character of which was Olena Vaneeva, a laureate of the above-mentioned award.
