French delegation of EU4Innovation East visits Kyiv Polytechnic to support deep tech projects and more
20.03.2025/
The EU4Innovation East team from France recently visited the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute to discuss areas of cooperation in the development of startups and innovation in Ukraine. This programme, supported by the European Union and France, promotes the development of innovation ecosystems and supports startups in the Eastern partner countries, particularly within Ukrainian higher education institutions.
Kyiv Polytechnic has much to offer, with projects that align with the goals of the French programme to advance innovation, technology and science. Among them – many within its Sikorsky Challenge Innovation Ecosystem – are:
Deep tech;
Aerospace technologies;
Artificial intelligence;
Prosthetics and rehabilitation;
Power engineering.
Thanks to EU4Innovation East’s support, university startups can get grant funding, expert mentorship, market entry strategies, expansion of their impact and scaling beyond Ukraine’s borders.
It is worth noting that the EU4innovation East programme will run to September 2028, with a focus on supporting innovation ecosystems in Eastern partner countries through four main pillars: early-stage funding, backing high-value segments and incubation, strengthening community ties, and increasing international visibility for startups.
