Digital banking, strategic leadership, future vision: PrivatBank chief executive delivers lecture to students
Mikael Björknert, Chairman of the PrivatBank Management Board, visited the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute to deliver a lecture. Today, PrivatBank is one of the leaders in Ukraine’s banking sector, setting trends in digital transformation and the development of innovative services, while remaining one of the university’s reliable financial partners.
The lecture was followed by a Q&A session, during which students, the teaching staff and representatives of the university administration engaged in a spirited dialogue with the guest. Questions ranged from modern banking to financial technology (fintech), and managerial leadership.
Specifically, among the key topics under discussion were Mikael Björknert’s professional career, and his experience in managing one of Ukraine’s largest banks; the implementation of the best practices of Europe’s banking industry in Ukraine; PrivatBank’s strategic leadership and its role in the development of modern banking; the digital transformation and the accessibility of banking services. Participants also talked about the role of the Ukrainian technical community in the development of engineering, defence and fintech; the use of AI and other innovative technologies in the banking sector; the vision of the future of the bank and the financial sector in Ukraine.
In addition, the university administration held a working meeting with Mikael Björknert and representatives of PrivatBank to discuss prospects for cooperation with Kyiv Polytechnic’s faculties.
Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute will continue organising open meetings with top executives of top-tier companies and experts so that students may gain up-to-date knowledge on the latest developments, make professional contacts, as well as better understand challenges facing today’s industry and technology.
