Kyiv Polytechnic hosts Eco-Techno Ukraine 2025 competition

The second and final qualifying round of Eco-Techno Ukraine 2025 took place at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute on February 25-28, 2025. This is the national science fair of Regeneron ISEF 2025, the world’s largest international STEM research competition for high school students. From May 10-16, 2025, top STEM students from around the world will be gathering in Columbus, Ohio, U.S.A., for the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).

True to tradition, the Techno Ukraine qualifying round was hosted by Kyiv Polytechnic’s Institute of Physics and Technology. The national science fair featured:

  • 120 participants
  • 92 judges (80% from Kyiv Polytechnic)
  • 15 mentors
  • 18 volunteers.

Each participant had a vis-a-vis interview with at least eight judges, ensuring a fair selection process.

Techno-Ukraine finalists competed in the following 10 project categories:

  • Biomedical Engineering (ENBM)
  • Computational biology and bioinformatics (CBIO)
  • Embedded Systems (EBED)
  • Energy: Sustainable Materials and Design (EGSD)
  • Engineering Technology: Statics and Dynamics (ETSD)
  • Materials Science (MATS)
  • Mathematics (MATN)
  • Physics and Astronomy (PHYS)
  • Robotics and Intelligent Machines (ROBO)
  • Systems Software (SOFT)
  • Technology Enhances the Arts (TECA).

As the finalists prepare to represent Ukraine at Regeneron ISEF 2025, their projects underscore the country’s commitment to scientific advancement and technological innovation.
