
Zaporizhzhia hosts forum ‘University 2030: Education of the Future’
At a time when challenges facing higher education have become increasingly acute, the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute continues to affirm its readiness to remain among the leaders in shaping the future of higher engineering education and standing in the forefront of its modernisation.
It was in this context that Kyiv Polytechnic Rector Anatolii Melnychenko attended the All-Ukrainian Forum ‘Days of Educational Leadership,’ which took place in the city of Zaporizhzhia. The event brought together more than 2,000 participants from across this country, including rectors of leading Ukrainian universities, as well as representatives from business and industry, to engage in discussions.
The theme of the forum was “University 2030: Education of the Future.”
Thought-provoking panel discussions covered pressing issues, including:
- Enhancing the role of universities as hubs of social cohesion and interaction;
- Exploring the practices of project-based education and civic engagement;
- Training of specialists equipped to act under conditions of quick changes and uncertainty.
The Rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute took part in the discussion panel “Education through Action: Civic Care, Projects, Partnerships, Impact,” sharing university’s best practices with businesses, government agencies and the bodies of local self-government – a testament to the university’s proactive role in Ukraine’s educational evolution.
