Three-party strategic meeting devoted to enhancement of energy efficiency in Ukraine
The Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, GIZ (German Agency for International Cooperation), and the Fincord-Polytech Science Park have joined efforts to further develop the energy sector.
A three-party strategic meeting held at Kyiv Polytechnic was devoted to analysing ongoing cooperation in the field of energy efficiency and outlining prospects for its further development among the partners. The agenda included:
- discussion of the results of existing initiatives (educational programmes, technical consultations, innovative technological developments, and pilot projects to enhance energy efficiency in Ukraine);
- presentation by Fincord-Polytech highlighting successful cases of cooperation with industrial partners and demonstrating scalable technological solutions that can be jointly implemented by GIZ, Kyiv Polytechnic, and the Science Park.
During the meeting, the participants agreed to make a joint action plan for continued cooperation on a more comprehensive initiative to strengthen Ukraine’s energy security, promote human capital development, and apply advanced energy-efficient technologies.
Further cooperation will drive a powerful synergy between the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, GIZ, and the Fincord-Polytech Science Park:
- Kyiv Polytechnic serves as a scientific and educational centre that combines academic expertise, engineering innovation, and youth engagement in support of Ukraine’s energy transformation.
- GIZ contributes to strengthening institutional capacity, providing expert support and facilitating the integration of Ukrainian innovations into the European context of sustainable development.
- Fincord-Polytech serves as a platform for commercialising research and scaling innovations that are essential for Ukraine’s postwar recovery.
United, these efforts broaden the horizons of partnership in building a more energy-efficient, sustainable, and resilient Ukraine.
