About open science and publications on the Research4Life platform
Representatives of the Research4Life project and partner organizations continue to get acquainted with the platform of the same name. On May 18, 2022, the second webinar on “Open Science, from open access to open research – what is it all about?” took place.
Speakers were Andy Robinson, CABI; Roheena Anand, PLoS; moderated the meeting by Andrea Powell, STM. The following issues were considered:
why open science is promoted as a catalyst for sustainable development;
the essence of the philosophy of the UNESCO Recommendations on Open Science;
current issues of publishing research results, such as fees for processing and publishing articles, how to identify predatory journals, etc .;
various open access business models;
practical aspects of integrating the concept of open science into the work process of a scientist and researcher.

From May 11 to July 20, 2022, 6 free webinars are planned, during which scientists can learn about opportunities in publishing and research communications to more effectively share their research results and maximize them using the Research4Life platform. The webinars will be conducted in English by representatives of the Research4Life project and partner organizations.
The next webinar on “Writing a Grant Proposal: Successfully Fund Your Research” will take place on June 8, 2022, at 4:00 p.m.
