Concerts of Tempei Nakamura in Ukraine

On October 9, 2022, Japanese virtuoso pianist and composer Tempei Nakamura concerts took place in Irpin and Boyarka. The pianist performed original instrumental compositions and arrangements of Ukrainian melodies.

The events, which were attended by about two hundred people, were held with the assistance of the Ukrainian-Japanese Center, the Department of Culture, Nationalities, and Religions of Irpin City Council, and the Department of Humanitarian Development of Boyarka City Council.

Unfortunately, due to the massive rocket attack, the concert in Kyiv, in the Center of Culture and Arts of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute on October 10 did not take place for security reasons. Tempei Nakamura held an impromptu concert for the students and staff of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in the bomb shelter of the 18th dormitory, performing the Anthem of Ukraine together with the students.
