About the course:

Life cycle thinking is a comprehensive approach to evaluating the environmental, social, and economic impacts of a product or process throughout its entire life span, from idea, raw material extraction to disposal or recycling. It offers a holistic perspective, emphasizing interconnectedness and the importance of considering all stages to prevent unintended negative consequences. By understanding the full spectrum of impacts, it fosters informed decision-making and proactive sustainability measures, urging a shift from isolated solutions to integrated, long-term strategies. This thinking aims to ensure balanced and sustainable choices by highlighting the intricate web of implications in our choices.

In this course, you will learn about the life cycle, which includes the environmental, social, and economic assessment and understanding of the impact of a product or service throughout its lifespan from conception to end-of-life or recycling. You will also learn how to calculate CO2, water, energy, and other pollution footprints.
