EU Launches Calls for Proposals under the “Cybersecurity and Trust” Program
The European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) has announced calls for proposals under the “Cybersecurity and Trust” program. The initiative provides 100% funding for projects aimed at developing cybersecurity solutions, including artificial intelligence-based security tools and countermeasures against threats posed by quantum computing (see page 71 of the work program).
The calls focus on the development of AI-driven cybersecurity tools and solutions to mitigate risks associated with quantum technologies. These initiatives are part of the ECCC’s work program. Established in 2021, the ECCC coordinates cybersecurity efforts across the EU, ensuring the development and implementation of cutting-edge security solutions.
The ECCC oversees the execution of calls within the frameworks of the “Horizon Europe” and “Digital Europe” (DEP) programs. The Centre’s first official work program, published in December 2024, includes competitions for the 2025–2027 period. The total allocated budget for this phase is €353 million, though the final funding figures may be subject to change.
Additionally, the program includes funding for Coordination and Support Actions (CSA), which promote collaboration, support EU policies, and cover activities such as standardization, communication, coordination, and other related initiatives.
We invite you to explore the “Cybersecurity and Trust” work program and submit your project proposal!
