Association CESAER continues to support Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute

“We are proud to strengthen our support and excellent cooperation with our newest member from Ukraine: The National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” – with this words begins the first 2024 article of the website of CESAER, an association of 58 leading research and development universities from 28 European countries.

Since the beginning of the war, CESAER has condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in the strongest possible terms and expressed its deep concern about the suffering caused by this war.

Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute joined CESAER as a full member in October 2022.

The cooperation between Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and CESAER has been of high quality and fruitful from the very beginning. Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute representatives are members of all seven task forces of the association. The war in Ukraine has highlighted the utmost importance of the topic of knowledge security, which prompted a seminar organised by the Open Science and Technology Working Group on “Keeping Science Open: Current Tensions in the Political Discourse on International Scientific Cooperation” in March 2023, as well as the publication of a white paper “Keeping Science Open? Current challenges in the everyday reality of universities” in October 2023.

18-20 October 2023 the Polytechnic University of Madrid hosted the Annual Meeting and the 37th General Assembly of CESAER.
