Donation to the KPI Support Foundation
Dear Colleagues,
Allow us to express our gratitude for the support offered to the staff of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI), warm words, intense desire to support our university by raising funds and providing humanitarian aid.
The war of aggression waged by the russian federation against Ukraine has been ongoing since February 24, 2022, and has now entered its fifth year.
The faculty, staff, researchers, undergraduate, and postgraduate students of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, alongside the entire Ukrainian nation, are steadfastly defending the independence of our country. A significant number of them serve within the Armed Forces of Ukraine, making the ultimate sacrifice to ensure peace and victory over the aggressor. Despite continuous missile and drone strikes, our educators and scientists remain dedicated to strengthening national defense, developing state-of-the-art equipment to assist frontline operations, protect critical infrastructure, facilitate humanitarian demining, and support the rehabilitation of wounded personnel.
Regrettably, our university has been targeted by enemy attacks on multiple occasions, sustaining substantial structural damage.
Another massive attack on Kyiv has once again caused damage to the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
Several of the university’s academic buildings were affected by the strike. More than 1,300 windows were shattered, along with doors and parts of the internal infrastructure. Some facilities now require urgent restoration and protection.
These are not just buildings.
These are laboratories where research continues even during wartime.
These are classrooms where students continue studying despite air-raid sirens and attacks.
This is a place where the future of Ukrainian science, engineering, and the state itself is being shaped.
Today, KPI needs support.
We appeal to our alumni, international partners, companies, foundations, academic institutions, and all friends of KPI to join efforts to help restore the university’s infrastructure. Any support provided now will have an immediate and tangible impact.
Even during the war, Ukrainian universities continue to work, teach, conduct research, and educate the people who will rebuild Ukraine
Today, we must help restore the university that helps restore the country.
