In a world adorned with flags of many hues,
There is one immortal flag, shining true.
Where sky meets fields of golden grain,
Our flag stands proud, without refrain.

On this special day, when we honor our national symbol, we also recognize the vital importance of international partnership.

On the territory of Ukrainian lands, the first mention of the combination of blue and yellow colors in the official symbols occurred more than 700 years ago. The yellow and blue flag has long been a national symbol.

According to Article 20 of the Constitution of Ukraine, it is now the National Flag of Ukraine is a symbol of a peaceful country in the colors of a clear sky and a wheat field.

Together, under our common sky, we strive for peace, fruitful cooperation, progress and prosperity.
