Visit of Igor Sikorsky KPI’ Rector to Warsaw University of Technology

On September 27, 2022, the Rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Mykhailo Zgurovsky visited the Warsaw University of Technology at the invitation of the Academic Senate and Rector Krzysztof Zaremba. Constructive negotiations were held on the expansion of cooperation in modern educational, scientific and innovative areas.

Rectors analyzed the state of implementation of the agreement on cooperation between partner universities, which was signed in 2006, and agreed to significantly update and expand it.

They discussed the participation of students, teachers and scientists of Igor Sikorsky KPI in the activities of the international alliance ENHANCE and, in particular, in one of its projects Language Tandem. On the part of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, this project is implemented with the participation of the Faculty of Linguistics and the International Projects Office of the International Collaboration Department. Students, graduate students and employees of Igor Sikorsky KPI will be able not only to meet representatives of different countries – members of the alliance and learn a foreign language, but also to help foreigners learn Ukrainian. German, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Norwegian, Polish and Ukrainian languages are studied and taught within the project.

During the negotiations, modern forms of mobility of students, teachers and scientists within the framework of the Erasmus+ program were discussed. Rector Krzysztof Zaremba gratefully accepted the invitation from Mykhailo Zgurovsky for the participation of representatives of the Warsaw University of Technology in the TechnoArt International festival under the slogan “Restoration. Reconstruction. Revival” and in the XI Festival of Innovative Projects Sikorsky Challenge. Mr. Zaremba noted that this will be a good opportunity to expand cooperation at the level of academic staff and student / postgraduate youth of Igor Sikorsky KPI and Warsaw Polytechnic.
