Visit of the US Secretary of State to KPI: Historic Event for Ukrainian Youth
On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, students and teachers of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute witnessed a historic event – the visit of the United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. This important visit took place to assure Ukrainians of the support of the United States and was marked by his speech to the students of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
During his speech, Anthony Blinken addressed the youth of Kyiv Polytechnic with a message of cooperation and support. Noting the importance of university education and academic exchange, the Secretary of State called on students to actively participate in the development of their country and the global community. “Youth people are the engine of change. Your ideas, your openness and your willingness to work together can change the world,” he emphasized.
Anthony Blinken also emphasized the importance of international partnership in today’s world and noted that the United States is ready to support Ukraine on its path to development and strengthening of democracy. He assured the students that the U.S. stands ready to support the Ukrainian people in these difficult times and help them realize their ambitious plans for reform and development.
In his speech, Anthony Blinken also emphasized the importance of innovation and technology in the modern world. He encouraged Ukrainian students to actively participate in the development of new technologies that can change the world and improve the quality of life.
The visit of U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was an important event for both the university and Ukraine as a whole. He emphasized the United States’ support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and opened up new opportunities for cooperation in education, science and technology.
