ATHENA Talks 2025: “Digital badges: extracurricular activities and competency-based learning at the university”

Dear colleagues, we are pleased to announce the 2nd ATHENA Talk by Dr. Ingrida Leskauskienė from Vilnius Technical University in Lithuania. The topic of this presentation will be “Digital Badges: Combining extracurricular activities and competency-based learning in a university setting.”

Join the session to find out how digital badges can recognize skills and competencies acquired in extracurricular activities, strengthen students’ emotional connection to the university, and help develop important interpersonal skills such as communication, teamwork, and intercultural awareness. The experience of using digital badges, including hierarchical systems, will be presented on the example of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Lithuania).
