International students choose to study at Kyiv Polytechnic

Recently, a new cohort of international students from various countries – including China, Egypt and Ecuador – graduated from the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, earning their master’s degrees.

Most graduates attended the ceremony online, as they are currently outside Ukraine due to the ongoing full-scale russian invasion. Despite these challenges, they continued their studies at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

“Today, another group of international students has graduated, reaffirming our resilience even in wartime,” said Andrii Shysholin, Vice-Rector for International Relations at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. “We continue to provide a safe environment and high-quality education. Our university consistently upholds its strong international reputation, and international students continue to choose us.”

Kyiv Polytechnic’s international graduates have become highly qualified specialists in various fields, representing eight faculties and institutes within the university:

  • Educational and Research Institute of Aerospace Technologies;
  • Educational and Research Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Management;
  • Yevhen Paton Educational and Research Institute of Materials Science and Welding;
  • Faculty of Biomedical Engineering;
  • Faculty of Informatics and Computer Science;
  • Faculty of Management and Marketing;
  • Faculty of Applied Mathematics;
  • Faculty of Sociology and Law.

Many international graduates are eager to return to Ukraine after the war, with plans to pursue postgraduate studies at the university.

“I had talented classmates and great teachers who helped me overcome the challenges I faced while pursuing my studies in Kyiv,” said Shang Jing, the Chinese graduate of the Faculty of Management and Marketing. “I am very satisfied with high-quality teaching, the friendly environment, and the comprehensive support I received. Therefore, I plan to further deepen my knowledge of international economics as a postgraduate student at Kyiv Polytechnic.”
