French Ambassador delivers lecture to Kyiv Polytechnic students, answers questions
For the first time, Gaël Veyssière, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Ukraine, visited the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute to deliver a significant lecture on diplomacy in the context of russia’s heinous armed aggression against Ukraine. There were a plethora of thought-provoking points in it.
The lecture was followed by a dynamic Q&A session with Kyiv Polytechnic students, faculty and staff, during which they discussed France’s diplomatic experience in the international arena, new digital diplomacy and potential diplomatic instruments to counteract aggressor’s disinformation and propaganda.
“I was deeply impressed by the students’ questions – some even posed in French,” said Gaël Veyssière. “Hearing their opinions is essential, and the Q&A session, suggested by the [Kyiv Polytechnic] Rector, is a valuable opportunity for exchanging information and experience.”
The French diplomat’s visit is highly significant, underscoring the continuation of close cooperation between Ukraine and France in education and science, as well as Kyiv Polytechnic’s prominent role in this partnership.
