An international round table held at the Faculty of Management and Marketing
On June 16, 2022, the Faculty of Management and Marketing of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute ” hosted an international round table on “War in Ukraine: implications for the world economy.” The purpose of the event was to discuss the current situation and its consequences for the world community, as well as deepen cooperation between the Faculty of Management and Marketing of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” and foreign partner universities under existing agreements on mutual understanding and cooperation. Seventy-nine participants from different countries attended the international round table, including Germany, Norway, Poland, the Czech Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey, the United States and Ukraine.
Welcoming remarks were made by Marina Kravchenko, Dean of the faculty mentioned above, Doctor of Economics, Prof. and Killion Munyama, prof. Senior Adviser to the Global External Services Action (EEAS) in Brussels, elected Member of the Polish National Parliament (2011-2021), keynote speaker, and co-chair of the 2022 African Global Business Summit Steering Committee.
Researchers from the Warsaw School of Economics (Poland), the School of Management of the Technical University of Munich (Germany), the University of Trakia (Turkey), the Center for Central and Eastern European Studies at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (Poland), the University of Krakow), Norwegian University of Science and Technology (Norway), Higher School of Business in Bydgoszcz (Poland), Technical University of Ostrava (Czech Republic), Research Center for Industrial Development of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kharkov) and the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.”
At the round table, they discussed many important issues within the general theme of global food and energy security, migration and population reduction in Ukraine, the peculiarities of the educational process during the war, tools and measures to rebuild and rebuild the country, further innovation and technological development of Ukraine and the world.
As a result of the event, it was agreed with the participants to continue discussing this critical topic at the next meeting.
