The University of Sheffield and Igor Sikorsky KPI successfully completed their joint project
From August 19 to 24, 2023, 10 winners of the joint acceleration program of the University of Sheffield and Igor Sikorsky KPI visited Sheffield and took part in the final stage of the project.
As part of the joint project “Building Back Better”, where Igor Sikorsky KPI represented the startup school Sikorsky Challenge, students and entrepreneurs were given the opportunity to develop their innovative projects.
The joint project aimed to support Ukrainian startups and contribute to the recovery of Ukraine’s entrepreneurial ecosystem after the war.
During the program, 50 teams with projects from all over Ukraine registered, and 10 teams were selected by a British international jury for further acceleration. They presented various projects aimed at developing modern technologies and addressing important global issues.
During the visit to the University of Sheffield, team representatives participated in various trainings and workshops organized jointly with the University of Sheffield. Coaches shared their knowledge and experience in preparing and pitching presentations, as well as discussed strategies for startup development.
The last day of the visit was dedicated to project presentations to representatives of British investment companies. Participants had the opportunity to demonstrate their innovative solutions and attract potential investors for further development.
All teams impressively met this challenge, and representatives of investment companies expressed interest in further cooperation.
Project participants emphasize the importance of this visit to Sheffield in their professional growth and the development of their own innovative projects.
