Workshop “Blue Economy Strategy for the Black Sea: Ukrainian Contribution”
The delegation of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute joined the workshop “Blue economy strategy for the Black Sea: Ukrainian contribution” on November 12, 2021, which was aimed at discussing the creation of a comprehensive policy for the development of the Black Sea basin.
Blue economy is an important direction of the world economy, which is engaged in the prevention of negative climate change, the preservation of marine and ocean spaces. Together with the European Green Deal, the blue economy forms the EU’s strategic course for the coming decades.
Relevant directorates general of the European Commission, representatives of central and local authorities, and scientists participated in the event. The members of the workshop discussed the instruments for the development of the Black Sea region and the potential contribution of stakeholders to the development of the Blue Economy in Ukraine.
Delegation of Igor Sikorsky KPI together with Professor Eden Mamut participated in the round table “Blue Economy Strategy for the Black Sea: Ukrainian Contribution.” During the implementation of the program of the event, there was a discussion of the creation of a comprehensive policy for the development of the Black Sea basin and, on its basis, it is possible to determine the directions and specific topics by which Igor Sikorsky KPI units will be able to begin preparing project proposals for competitions of international (European) project and grant programs.
